Clara features in the "Nutcracker" episode adaptation of the series. As a young girl, she eagerly anticipates Christmas presents alongside her brother Fritz. During their family celebration, Drosselmeyer gifts her a Nutcracker doll. Initially unimpressed, she reconsiders when Fritz questions the doll’s lack of a sword, suggesting it might embody pacifism.
She forms a deep attachment to the Nutcracker, keeping it nearby as she sleeps. That night, the Nutcracker animates when the Mouse King and his soldiers emerge from her clock, targeting the doll. Awakened, Clara is drawn into a fantastical battle. She watches the Nutcracker combat mice before intervening directly—biting the Mouse King to break free from his grasp. She aids the Nutcracker by firing a cannon at the Mouse King and deploying a magic nut against him; the nut shatters him like glass, returning her to her bedroom.
The next day, Drosselmeyer reveals the Nutcracker is a dream-world prince cursed by the Mouse King, directing Clara to a grandfather clock in the attic where she discovers a sword. Later, confronting the Mouse King again in the attic, she witnesses him tormenting the Nutcracker with the sword. Clara deflects the sword’s energy back at the Mouse King, shattering his control and exposing his seven-headed form. She then helps defeat his minions by transforming them into flowers and tackles the Mouse King, enabling the Nutcracker to strike the final blow with the sword.
Victorious, the Nutcracker transforms into Prince Bongo of the Dream World. Clara journeys with him to his kingdom—a "flight of fancy to the furthest reaches of the imagination"—where she attends a ball and interacts with beloved storybook characters. Waking the next morning, she encounters Drosselmeyer and his grandson Bongo outside her home. Bongo escorts her to his kingdom, which later evolves into an amusement park featuring a castle hotel; their residence is designated the Nutcracker Suite.
