Description
Maki is Yuu Shinozaki's older sister. She shares Yuu's frustration with rigid societal expectations, symbolized by the conventional clockwise-turning clock. Unlike Yuu's parents, teachers, and childhood friend Aoi, Maki understands and supports his desire for a different life path. Her background as a biker connects her to a countercultural identity aligning with Yuu's rebellious leanings.

Maki actively facilitates Yuu's departure from home by involving her friend Tetsuo, who provides practical assistance for the journey. This action demonstrates her commitment to helping Yuu pursue his goal of experiencing an unconventional lifestyle, metaphorically described as making the clock turn left. Her role is primarily supportive, acting as Yuu's confidante and enabler during his initial decision to leave.
