Description
Tokishirō Toyokawa is a 39-year-old café owner operating a restaurant in Tajimi City. He moved there with his daughter Himeno after his Tokyo company collapsed, returning to his late wife's hometown. His wife, a renowned pottery artist, died when Himeno was four, and he honors her memory by showcasing her handmade mugs in their café.

As a single father facing financial strain from the bankruptcy, he actively encourages Himeno's participation in her high school pottery club, acknowledging her wish to engage with her mother's artistic legacy. His past includes working as a Tokyo salaryman before reinventing himself as a café proprietor in Tajimi.

His familial ties involve collaboration with his mother-in-law, Sachie Tokikawa, who aids in managing the café. Tokishirō focuses on offering steadfast support to Himeno as she delves into pottery, embodying a stabilizing parental presence.
