Description
Mimi Atachi, also known in the English version as Mimi Imimi, is a character in the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens. She is the sixth member of the Top of the Hexagon, the group of six high-ranking executives of the Goha Corporation. In order to investigate the source of the newly emerging Rush Duels, she is sent undercover as a transfer student to Goha Seventh Elementary School. Despite being 37 years old, Mimi has the appearance of a preteen and frequently refers to herself as the eternal elementary school student. This youthful appearance caused her significant difficulties as an adult, as people often mistook her for a child, but she eventually learned to use it to her advantage, which allowed her to rise swiftly through the ranks of Goha and become one of its top executives. She is also the mother of a son named Yoshio. Mimi's personality is energetic, lively, and somewhat mischievous. She is ambitious and aspires to one day become the President of Goha Corporation, even going so far as to imagine replacing the company logo with her own face. She initially acts as an antagonist, using gifts and attempts at bribery to get close to Yuga Ohdo and his friends in order to steal Yuga's notes on Rush Duel inventions. However, after being defeated in a Duel by Yuga and witnessing his genuine desire to spread the joy of Rush Duels, she begins to reconsider her loyalties. She shows a softer, more conflicted side, especially when she is demoted for failing to keep the other Tops in check when they attempt to fire Nail, the Goha President. Later in the series, after discovering the collapsed President, she is chosen by the President Drone to become the new President herself, marking a significant rise in her role within the story. Mimi is a skilled Duelist who uses a Water‑Attribute deck, with its ace monster being from the Diane Cat series. She is also physically agile, as demonstrated by her gymnastic abilities. Her key relationships include her interactions with Yuga Ohdo, who reminds her of her son, and her fellow Tops of the Hexagon, with whom she has a competitive and sometimes strained dynamic. Her character develops from a corporate spy with self‑serving motives into a more conflicted and even sympathetic figure who comes to understand the value of friendship and genuine fun.
