Description
Galvatron, the self-proclaimed Emperor of Destruction and primary antagonist in Beast Wars II, commands the Predacon forces from the battleship Galvaburg II. His core ambition is harnessing the potent Angolmois Energy of planet Gaia to achieve universal conquest, imposing a forced peace across the cosmos through overwhelming strength and control. His personality combines immense ambition, battlefield prowess, and surprising familial loyalty. Aware of his younger brother Megastorm's persistent attempts to overthrow him, Galvatron permits Megastorm to retain a high-ranking position due to this bond, despite the strategically unwise tolerance. This loyalty contrasts with his otherwise ruthless nature. He demonstrates cunning strategy, luring Maximal Commander Convoy into a deep space trap believed fatal and later capturing Convoy's pursuing forces on Gaia. However, his plans are frequently complicated by susceptibility to energy intoxication. Excessive consumption of substances like tainted oil or Angolmois Energy triggers unstable mental states, transforming him into a dangerous, rampaging threat hazardous to enemies and allies alike. These volatile episodes often result in unconsciousness or erratic behavior, leaving the Predacons under Megastorm's command and fueling his brother's ambition.

Seeking enhanced power on Gaia, Galvatron accessed an ancient computer within planetary ruins, acquiring new vehicular alternate modes: a formidable drill tank and a colossal, fire-breathing dragon. The data surge initially rendered him unconscious. During one such incapacitation, Megastorm attempted to kill him by submerging him in a well of Angolmois Energy. Instead of destruction, the energy revived and empowered him. Misled by Megastorm into blaming the Maximals, Galvatron engaged the reformatted Lio Convoy, showcasing his new forms' destructive power. He was eventually thwarted and temporarily contained within a volcano by Megastorm, though he later escaped. His instability resurfaced after consuming Starscream's tainted oil intended for the Insectrons, leading to a destructive drunken rampage requiring a combined effort from Maximals and Insectrons to subdue. Another incident involved him guzzling Angolmois Energy from a damaged pipeline, causing him to grow enormous; he was defeated when the Maximals and Autorollers overloaded him with more energy, triggering an explosive reversion to normal size.

Galvatron's ultimate scheme involved the artificial planet Nemesis. He summoned Nemesis to Gaia intending to use it to drain the planet's entire Angolmois Energy reserve, granting him unimaginable power. Confronting Lio Convoy and Scuba near Nemesis's core, he absorbed the massive influx of Angolmois Energy, transforming into a gigantic dragon. In the final battle, he faced the combined form of Lio Convoy and Lio Junior, Green Lio Convoy. Despite his enhanced power, Green Lio Convoy dispersed the absorbed Angolmois Energy back into space. Galvatron revealed he had retained a reserve within his internal Galva-Matrix core. He engaged Green Lio Convoy in a decisive duel, which concluded when Green Lio Convoy shattered the Galva-Matrix. Acknowledging the strike, Galvatron perished in the subsequent explosion. His body was later recovered by the Blendtron faction and used as the physical vessel for the reborn Unicron during Beast Wars Neo.
