Tetsuo Komura is a Japanese voice actor, actor, and director. He was born on July 31, 1954, in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. His career in entertainment began in 1974 when he made his acting debut in the film "野球狂の歌" (Song of the Baseball Fanatic). In 1976, he founded and became the representative of the theatre company 劇団民話藝術座 (Gekidan Minwa Geijutsuza), a role he continues to hold.

Komura transitioned to voice acting in the 1990s, a move made on the recommendation of fellow voice actor Shigeru Chiba. His deep and authoritative voice has led him to be frequently cast in roles that are dignified, serious, or villainous.

His career includes a wide range of roles across many popular anime series. He is known within the Transformers franchise for voicing Galvatron and providing narration in "Beast Wars II: Super Lifeform Transformers" (1998), as well as Galvatron in the film "Beast Wars II: The Movie" (1998). In the SD Gundam Sangokuden series, he voiced multiple characters, including the antagonist Dong Zhuo (Tō Taku) Zaku in both the "Brave Battle Warriors" TV series and its movie, as well as Lu Zhi (Ro Shoku) GM Cannon.

Komura's other notable roles include the villainous martial artist Ouyang Feng in the series "Legend of the Condor Hero" (2001), Enma Daioh (King Yama) in "Prince Mackaroo" (1998) and "Dragon Heart", and Jube Nakaiya in "Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto" (2006). He has also appeared in major titles such as "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" as Gozaburo Kaiba, "Inuyasha," "The Prince of Tennis," and "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG".

Beyond voice acting, Komura is also involved in theater as a director. His personal interests and skills include baseball, where he serves as a team coach, as well as stage combat, horse riding, skiing, and he holds black belts in both kendo (3rd dan) and judo (1st dan). His career has continued into the 2020s, with recent roles in the anime "The Fable" in 2024.
