Description
Galvatron emerges as the primary Predacon antagonist in Beast Wars II, proclaiming himself the "new Emperor of Destruction." He commands the fortress battleship Galvaburg II to planet Gaia alongside his brother Megastorm and subordinate forces like the Combatrons and Autorollers. His mission: harness Gaia’s Angolmois Energy for universal conquest. He orchestrates a deep-space trap to eliminate Maximal commander Convoy, inadvertently causing Convoy’s survival and evolution into Lio Convoy.

Galvatron wields formidable power through dual alternate modes—a colossal fire-breathing dragon and an armored drill tank—establishing him as a relentless battlefield threat. However, excessive consumption of Angolmois Energy, oil, or standard energon destabilizes him, triggering volatile personality shifts. These uncontrollable rampages endanger allies and foes alike, forcing opponents to contain or disable him repeatedly.

Despite his ruthlessness, Galvatron displays unwavering loyalty to Megastorm. He knowingly permits his ambitious brother high rank and proximity, even after Megastorm’s exposure to Angolmois Energy transforms him into Gigastorm. Gigastorm’s escalating treachery includes open assassination attempts during combat. Galvatron initially dismisses warnings of disloyalty, though repeated betrayals fracture their bond.

His strategies against the Maximals involve exploiting ancient Gaian technology. He repurposes a functional computer to grant vehicular forms to his troops and weaponizes a "Copy Machine" from ruins, strategically placing it for Maximal discovery. This creates Copy Convoy, an evil Lio Convoy duplicate. Galvatron also negotiates alliances like one with the Seacons to eradicate Maximals, sabotaged by Megastorm’s interference. He delegates schemes such as Starscream’s bacteria bombs while studying combination techniques like the Jointrons’, often observing conflicts indirectly.

Galvatron’s arc culminates in constructing the artificial planet Nemesis to drain Gaia’s Angolmois Energy and cement his dominance. This provokes a final confrontation where Lio Convoy and clone-son Lio Junior unite against him. Defeated and killed, Galvatron’s downfall seals the Angolmois Energy and destroys Nemesis. His body is later possessed by Unicron in Beast Wars Neo.
