TV-Series
Description
Nadeshiko Kagamihara is a high school student who transferred to Motosu High School after moving from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, to the town of Nanbu in Yamanashi Prefecture. She is the younger daughter of Shūichirō and Shizuka Kagamihara and sister to Sakura Kagamihara.

She possesses fair skin, light-blue eyes, and distinctive pink hair typically worn in twin ponytails secured with white ruffled scrunchies. While camping, she wears a pink plaid jacket over a light pink ruffled dress, black tights, fingerless grey gloves, an orange scarf, and either green-and-white lace-up boots or dark brown rolled-down boots. At school, she wears the standard female uniform.

Initially careless and irresponsible—prone to falling asleep in public, getting lost, or forgetting essentials like her phone and money—she matures across the series. Her interest in camping sparked after a chance encounter at Lake Motosu, where she overslept on a bench, caught a cold, and was aided by another camper. Witnessing Mount Fuji at night solidified her passion.

She exhibits a cheerful, energetic, and optimistic personality, often contrasting with her reserved friend Rin Shima. Her substantial appetite and love for food are central; she is the primary cook for her camping group, specializing in hotpot meals that earned her the nickname "Nabeshiko." Despite her slim high school physique, she was overweight in middle school until her sister enforced a rigorous cycling regimen around Lake Hamana, building her current stamina.

Her development includes taking two part-time jobs to fund camping gear, notably a gas lantern. By Season 2, she successfully plans and executes a solo camping trip to Fujinomiya, demonstrating increased responsibility: she visits a Shinto shrine, dines at a local okonomiyaki restaurant, and independently manages logistics. She also grows more empathetic, caring for an exhausted Rin and earning the nickname "Mamashiko."

In later timelines, she works for an outdoor gear company and lives near the Tama Bridge in Hachiōji, Tokyo. Though she once envisioned herself as a CEO with a rocket tent, she remains a regular employee. She obtains a driver's license, operating a Suzuki Jimny, and earns a certification for heavy machinery operations, aiding a campsite regeneration project. Her deepened empathy leads her to invite Rin to Honzawa Onsen in Nagano during a period of reflection, strengthening their resolve to preserve a campsite.

Her relationships are pivotal: she forms a close bond with Rin, initiating outings that help Rin open up socially. Her dynamic with sister Sakura involves both guidance and light-hearted conflict, with Sakura frequently curbing her impulsiveness. She maintains friendships with Ena Saitō, Chiaki Ōgaki, and Aoi Inuyama, sharing a birthday (March 4) with Aoi.

Additional traits include her love for blankets, enjoyment of being mistaken for a younger girl, and fear of blood. She develops a passion for retro trains after riding the Abt train in Oigawa and occasionally adopts a "Granny Classic" impersonation while cooking. Her name, meaning "caressable child," references the nadeshiko flower (*Dianthus superbus*), symbolizing idealized femininity.
