The President governs South Island on Planet Freedom, residing in the capital city with his daughter Sara. A bearded man, he displays constant nervousness and worry, especially under pressure. When Dr. Robotnik takes them hostage at the presidential house, the President frantically pleads with Sonic to obey Robotnik's demands to ensure Sara's safety and the safety of others.

During the crisis, he supports Robotnik's false narrative about Metal Robotnik threatening the planet and endorses the mission for Sonic to disable the Robot Generator. After Sonic reluctantly agrees, the President takes part in playing video games with Sara and Robotnik inside the house. This moment shatters when a large mech crashes into the building; Sara enters its control room. The President reacts with alarm, shouting for Sara to stop as the mech departs carrying her and Robotnik.

Later, observing widespread destruction across the Land of the Sky from his office, he initially mistakes Hyper Metal Sonic's rampage for Sonic's actions. Contacting Sonic's residence, he learns from Knuckles about Metal Sonic's true nature and its plan to destroy the glacial bridge at the north pole. Amidst the chaos, the President receives damage reports and coordinates with his aide.

In the final confrontation, he becomes trapped inside a collapsing ship during the battle between Sonic and Hyper Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic defies its programming to intervene and rescue him. The President is last seen joining Sara, Old Man Owl, Dr. Robotnik, and others in the pursuit of Sonic and his friends after the conflict resolves.
