Description
Jun Arashiyama captains the Arashiyama Squad, holding A-rank #5 within Border and the position of No. 2 All-Rounder. He stands as one of twelve candidates for the Black Trigger Fūjin. Tall in stature, he possesses medium-length, feathered black hair (appearing brown-tinted in the anime) and green eyes. He consistently wears the standard Border uniform; in trigger mode, this features a red athletic jacket with a high collar, black leggings, the A-rank emblem patch on his right shoulder, and black stripes along the sleeves.

Personality-wise, Arashiyama exhibits a carefree and playful demeanor, showing little inherent dislike toward Neighbors. Protecting others remains his priority, especially his younger siblings, whom he hugged immediately upon confirming their safety during the Marmod invasion. This protective instinct extends to civilians and colleagues, demonstrated when he defended Osamu Mikumo for violating Border rules during a Neighbor attack at a school, praising Osamu's actions for preventing casualties. He publicly stated his commitment to fight without reservation once his family's safety is assured.

He joined Border during its initial formation. During the Neighbor attack at Osamu's school, Arashiyama Squad responded to find the threat already neutralized by Yūma Kuga. Arashiyama personally thanked Osamu for saving his siblings and expressed support for him. Later, in the Black Trigger Capture arc, he collaborated with Yūichi Jin to counter the Kido faction's attempt to seize Yūma's Black Trigger by force.

During the Large-Scale Invasion arc, Arashiyama Squad became the first unit to eliminate a Rabbit trion soldier, aided by Yūma. The squad received an Outstanding Service Award (800,000 yen and 800 points) for defeating trion soldiers in the emergence zone and supporting Kirie Konami in the Southwest district. In the B-Rank Wars arc, Osamu sought training from Arashiyama Squad to fight independently. Arashiyama initially questioned the necessity for gunners and shooters to score points solo but agreed to teach Osamu alongside Tokieda. He later expressed concern for Osamu's morale following a defeat and facilitated further training; Kitora primarily instructed Osamu during one session due to Arashiyama's absence.

His squad members include Ai Kitora, Mitsuru Tokieda, Haruka Ayatsuji, and Ken Satori. The squad handles Border's public relations, appearing frequently in media and managing orientations for new C-class trainees. This public role led former member Kuniharu Kakizaki to leave, feeling unworthy of representing Border. Their squad emblem consists of five black pentagons forming a white star, each containing a smaller star. Arashiyama maintains a familial rapport with his squad, sharing mutual support amid their high-profile duties.

His given name "Jun" means "Associate," while "Arashiyama" translates to "storm mountain," referencing a district in western Kyoto. He owns a pet dog named Koro and lists his preferences as his younger siblings, dogs, and seafood.
