Description
Kōji Oki, a B-rank Sniper in Border’s Ikoma Squad, has a light complexion, an average build, and short wavy black hair swept forward, paired with blue eyes and a mole beneath his right eye. His uniform features a vermillion jacket with a white zipper, black sleeves fading to vermilion at the elbows, thick gloves adorned with brown buckles, black pants, gray-brown boots, and a reddish-orange sun visor. The design incorporates Border’s chest logo topped by a B-rank emblem, with square-patterned padding on the black segments.

Charismatically laid-back and self-assured, Oki openly flirts with younger girls, playfully proposing they become his “sisters” to compensate for his only-child upbringing. He dismisses notions of romantic popularity, yet squadmates suspect hidden liaisons, citing rumors of a masked companion or a girl in red he’s pursued. These speculations prompt teammates to surveil his off-duty movements for clues.

A master of precision, Oki wields the Egret sniper rifle to land lethal shots on agile foes like Yūma Kuga, once severing the latter’s arm. He supplements his arsenal with Lightning for suppressing fire and Grasshopper for rapid vertical ascents or evasive leaps, chaining pads to alter trajectories mid-air—a tactic that risks predictability over prolonged fights. His adaptability shines in counter-sniping strategies, exemplified by cornering Kazuto Tonooka during a match. For brute force, he switches to Ibis, relying on its raw power to breach defenses.

Stealth defines his combat ethos: Bagworm masks his trion signature during reconnaissance or sniping. He calculates trajectories using target reaction speeds and bullet velocities, though his predictions aren’t infallible, as Yūma’s survival proved. Quick reflexes and strategic shield deployment let him endure assaults like Masataka Ninomiya’s Hornet onslaughts. While he claims reluctance to attack younger girls, teammates doubt his sincerity, interpreting his hesitations as part of a crafted “good guy” image.

Personal passions include akashiyaki, oden, cats, shopping, and table tennis. His pet cat is formally registered as family, and his visor—adorned with an Eye of Horus symbol—echoes his nickname “Okki,” a nod to the Italian “occhi” (“eyes”). Taichi of Suzunari Branch indirectly influenced his visor adoption. Oki speaks in a Kansai dialect, a trait shared by most Ikoma Squad members except Kai Minamisawa.

In squad operations, Oki provides reconnaissance by detecting trion signatures and tracking Bagworm users. Beyond sniping, he coordinates suppressive fire and relays battlefield intel. Rank war strategies capitalize on his stealth and mobility, though post-shot positioning sometimes limits tactical flexibility. Interactions with teammates like Tatsuhito Ikoma and Satoshi Mizukami blend camaraderie with competitive drive, underscoring his role as both strategist and frontline asset.
