Description
Keke Tang moved alone from Shanghai, China, to Japan to attend Yuigaoka Girls' High School, driven by her deep passion for school idols inspired by Sunny Passion. Japan is also her mother's homeland, providing a personal connection. She founded the school idol club with Kanon Shibuya, forming Liella! as a first-generation member and later joining the sub-unit KALEIDOSCORE. Her image color is pastel blue.

Keke exhibits a highly energetic, optimistic, and fun-loving personality, prioritizing passion and maintaining a smiling attitude. She firmly believes in perseverance and seizing opportunities, frequently using her favorite saying: "There is no time like the present." When stressed, she recalls her mother's advice to "cool down" with sweets, developing a notable sweet tooth; foods like egg tarts, milk tea, and ice cream help her manage emotions and reconcile conflicts.

Physically slim and standing 159 cm tall, she has short gray hair featuring purple tints and curled tips, complemented by light blue eyes. Her pronounced fashion sense draws her to Tokyo districts like Shibuya and Harajuku. This interest extends to designing and restoring costumes for Liella!, where she acts as the primary wardrobe supervisor despite her self-admitted lack of physical stamina, particularly during gym activities.

Academically, Keke passed the JLPT N1 exam in China, demonstrating advanced Japanese proficiency. However, she speaks with a discernible accent, reflected in media through katakana usage for certain words, and occasionally lapses into Mandarin when excited. Her birthday was initially set to July 7, referencing Shanghai's 1927 designation as a special city, but controversy arose due to the date's association with the 1937 outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, prompting an official change to July 17.

Across her school years, Keke evolved from a driven club founder recruiting members like Kanon and navigating conflicts, including a recurring rivalry with Sumire Heanna, to a supportive senior in her third year. She helped integrate new members into Liella! and balanced idol activities with encouragement from her sister Mengmeng Tang, who appeared in Season 3. Her graduation marked the conclusion of her active role in the group, though she remained committed to her passion beyond school.

Trivia includes her status as the first main character of Chinese descent in the franchise, her photobombing homage to Kotori Minami, and her association with the "pure" attribute among Liella!'s third years.
