Magiquone, localized as Arfoire, reigns as a recurring antagonist throughout the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. She embodies digital piracy, her English name referencing the R4 flash cart and her Japanese name, Magiquone, deriving from "Magicon," a term for devices enabling pirated software. Her core motivation typically involves schemes to drain Share Energy—the faith and positive emotions powering the goddesses—by mass-producing illegal game copies or causing piracy-related disruptions, aiming to dominate or destroy Gamindustri.
Her background shifts across dimensions. In the Super Dimension (Hyperdimension Neptunia/Re;Birth1/reVerse), she was originally Gamindustri's sole goddess. She later resigned and requested Histoire create four new goddesses to manage the world, but grew resentful and instigated the Console War to reclaim power. The Re;Birth1 adaptation recast her as a human who assisted the original four goddesses.
