Takeshi Momoshiro, known as "Momo," is a second-year student in Class 2-8 at Seishun Gakuen Middle School. Born July 23, he stands 170 cm tall, weighs 58 kg, and has blood type O. Daily workouts maintain his toned physique, and he takes pride in his spiky, gel-styled hair. His family consists of parents, a younger brother, and a younger sister. Academically strong in mathematics but weak in English, his favorite color is red and he prefers girls who are active and enjoy sports. His hobbies include listening to music and playing shooting games, with fried prawn burgers and strawberry coco sundaes as his favorite foods. Initially an aggressive singles player, Momoshiro sustained an ankle injury attempting to return Ryoma Echizen's Twist Serve during an unfinished match. This encounter sparked a close friendship, leading them to frequently share hamburgers or play street tennis together. Though preferring singles, he adapted to doubles, partnering with Echizen against Gyokurin in the Tokyo Districts tournament. They developed the 'Ah-Un' strategy to handle center shots, winning the match despite poor coordination that prevented future pairings. Temporarily cut from the regulars after losses to Sadaharu Inui and Kunimitsu Tezuka in Seigaku's second monthly ranking matches, his demotion impacted the whole team, even dissolving the "Golden Pair" temporarily. Avoiding practice for three days sparked rumors he'd quit; instead, he played street tennis. A match with An Tachibana during this time revealed his critical flaw of underestimating opponents. His absence highlighted his vital role as the team's most sociable and unifying member. He returned coinciding with vice-captain Shuichiro Oishi's injury during the Regional tournament against Hyotei. Momoshiro replaced Oishi, partnering with Eiji Kikumaru. Despite limited doubles experience, he quickly mastered the position using Oishi's advice, their performance echoing the Golden Pair and solidifying his place as a regular, especially after Tezuka departed for injury recuperation. Later, partnering with Inui against Josei Shonan's Tanaka twins, his prediction skills improved significantly before the match ended in forfeiture when he accidentally consumed Inui's Special Juice. Momoshiro's constant rivalry with Kaoru Kaidoh surprisingly forged an effective doubles partnership, their deep understanding enabling efficient combinations. During the Tokyo Prefecturals, they defeated St. Rudolph's Shinya Yanagisawa and Atsushi Kisarazu, with Momoshiro knocking Yanagisawa unconscious using his signature Dunk Smash. He later defeated Yamabuki's ace, Sengoku Kiyosumi, in a Singles 3 match by mastering the powerful backhand Jack Knife, showcasing his fully healed ankle. His playing style evolved into that of an aggressive baseliner, utilizing power shots like the Dunk Smash, Jack Knife, and Super Great Momoshiro Special. He developed tactical deception, such as the Dunk Volley fake-out, and learned to incorporate environmental elements like wind or sun glare. At Nationals, he earned the moniker "Trickster of Seigaku" for reading opponents and subconsciously developing rudimentary predictive insight, though less refined than Keigo Atobe's. By the epilogue, Momoshiro became Seigaku's vice-captain under Kaidoh's captaincy, indicating a mellowed rivalry. This leadership role reflected his growth from a brash player into a supportive figure, noted as being "too nice" for the captain position.
