TV-Series
Description
Ruli Tamaki is a 16-year-old student at Seirei Private High School who later turns 17. Her birthday is May 20, making her a Taurus with blood type O. She works as an idol under Starlet Promotion, performing in the unit Kira-Pika Tune.

In the real world, Ruli has wide brown eyes and a beauty mark beneath the left corner of her mouth. Her curly brown hair reaches her chest, usually pinned with a gold star clip on the right side, featuring slightly curled bangs. She most commonly wears her school uniform.

As her avatar "Ruli" in the virtual Aikatsu Planet, she possesses distinct lavender and sky blue duo-colored eyes and sharp downward-pointing brows. Her lavender hair is styled in two high pigtails, each with a yellow-shaded teal streak. Long, separated bangs frame her face, featuring another yellow streak on the right side.

Ruli exhibits a bright, sociable, and approachable personality, consistently friendly to everyone. She maintains a forward-looking attitude, rarely discouraged. Her speech often incorporates unique made-up words and onomatopoeia. Prioritizing fun for herself and others, she displays high energy and emotional expressiveness, frequently crying yet bouncing back quickly from setbacks. She serves as her group's emotional anchor, readily offering support.

Her background highlights a knack for identifying trends and a love for cute items, especially fashion, learning from her parents to recover swiftly from mistakes. Her interests include fashion, magazines, and parties; her skills encompass fashion, trend forecasting, and multiple-choice tests. Her catchphrase, "Okay!", signals agreement.

Within the series, Ruli faints during her debut focus episode. She experiences an early defeat against Shiori in a battle stage. Later, she becomes the producer of her own fashion brand, Melty House. In one episode, her unconventional language complicates pitching a drama to a screenwriter.

Regarding relationships, she belongs to the main quartet of idols. She functions as the group's emotional center but is not the closest friend to protagonist Mao Otoha; that role belongs to Shiori Motoya.

The etymology of her name indicates "Tamaki" combines "tama" (pearl) and "ki" (tree), while "Ruli" can mean "lapis lazuli" when written as "瑠璃" in kanji.
