Description
Blue is a deity-like being and guardian spirit of the Blue Sky Kingdom. He possesses blue hair and eyes, typically wearing a white shirt, blue pants, and white shoes. Gentle and kind, Blue carries deep guilt over past actions that inadvertently caused suffering to those he cherished. Approximately 300 years before the main events, while protecting Earth alongside shrine maiden Mirage (as Cure Mirage), he fell in love with her. His duties eventually forced him to depart, wounding Mirage deeply and creating an emotional rift. His brother Red exploited this pain, leading to Mirage's corruption and the rise of the Phantom Empire. This event sparked enduring conflict with Phantom, Mirage's loyal servant, who harbors intense resentment towards Blue.

Blue's primary role involves empowering individuals worldwide to become Pretty Cures by scattering Crystals of Love, which react to girls possessing abundant love. He imposes a rule forbidding Pretty Cures from romantic relationships, fearing emotional fallout could compromise their duties, though he only enforces this through warnings. He mentors the main Cure team, providing guidance, tools like the Cure Lines for communication, and the Shining Make Dresser for group attacks. During a confrontation with Phantom, Blue demonstrates self-sacrificial courage, offering his life to protect the Cures while asserting Mirage would not desire his death.

In the film "The Ballerina of the Land of Dolls," Blue investigates the mysterious Doll Kingdom but is ambushed and imprisoned by darkness from his mirror, orchestrated by Phantom Empire commander Black Fang. From captivity, he coordinates a global effort during the climax, urging people worldwide to use Miracle Lights to empower the Cures against Black Fang's despair barrier. Tsumugi overcoming her despair with Megumi's help secures his release.

Blue's arc concludes with reconciliation. After the Pretty Cures defeat and purify Queen Mirage, he reunites with her, expressing his true feelings. He also reconciles with his purified brother Red, whose jealousy and hatred were ended by Cure Lovely's final attack. Following these resolutions, Blue departs Earth with Mirage and Red to restore the war-torn Planet Red, entrusting Earth's protection to the Pretty Cures.
