Description
Flordelis, alias Lysandre, founded and leads the villainous Team Flare, dedicated to reshaping the world, while also presiding over the scientific Lysandre Labs. Initially projecting a thoughtful philanthropist image focused on beauty and nature, this facade conceals deep ideological extremism. He fixates on the conviction that humanity's greed and resource consumption are accelerating global collapse. This drives him to activate an ancient ultimate weapon, aiming to annihilate all life outside Team Flare to preserve the planet's beauty solely for those he deems worthy.

Physically, Flordelis cuts a striking figure: tall with sharp blue eyes and distinctive pointed red hair and beard, often likened to a male Pyroar's mane. His typical attire consists of a black suit featuring red lining, black dress shoes, and fingerless black gloves, complemented by a Mega Ring on his left middle finger. For his final confrontation utilizing the ultimate weapon, he wears a specialized cybernetic suit designed to harness the legendary Pokémon Xerneas or Yveltal, complete with a bronze gauntlet, a backpack equipped with spotlight-like flying machines, and an orange visor resembling those worn by his Team Flare grunts.

His personality blends a hypocritical obsession with beauty and conservation with ruthless pragmatism. Despite condemning greed, he demands a five-million Pokédollar fee for Team Flare membership. While occasionally expressing remorse over his genocidal plan's consequences, he remains convinced it represents the only viable path to save the world's beauty. Unusually among antagonists, he displays genuine care and strong bonds with his Pokémon, demonstrated by his ability to Mega Evolve his shiny Gyarados. He maintains a complex dynamic with the player character, acknowledging their potential and initially inviting them to join Team Flare instead of seeking immediate elimination.

Flordelis descends from the brother of AZ, the ancient king of Kalos, sharing a legacy of attempting to "beautify" the world through the ultimate weapon's destructive power. He invented the Holo Caster communication device, frequently using it to broadcast Team Flare's ideology directly to the player. His influence extends beyond the main series games. He appears in *Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special I* as Team Flare's actions intersect with Mega Evolution conflicts. He serves as the overarching antagonist in *Pokémon Legends: Z-A* and features as a minor antagonist within Team Rainbow Rocket in *Pokémon Ultra Sun* and *Ultra Moon*. Elite Four member Malva maintains a secret affiliation with his organization.
