Description
Laura hails from Planet Cataria, an advanced feline civilization. Born a princess, she carries inherent royal status and expectations. Her distinctive appearance features cat ears, a tail, and golden fur adorned with white markings.

Forced into an unwanted political marriage to Prince Catton of Planet Felinia, Laura rebels. She steals a prototype spacecraft and flees, pursued by Catton's forces. The spacecraft malfunctions, crashing on Earth near Tomcat's residence.

Initially naive about Earth customs and human society, Laura communicates by speaking in the third person and occasional Catarian dialect. A sense of entitlement and royal bearing is often apparent. She forms an immediate, strong attachment to Tomcat, viewing him as a protector and potential mate according to Catarian instincts.

Adapting to life on Earth becomes a significant focus. Laura gradually learns human language, social norms, and technology, though Catarian habits and perspectives frequently surface. Her core motivation remains avoiding the arranged marriage and evading the persistent pursuit by Prince Catton and his agents. She demonstrates resourcefulness, particularly in utilizing salvaged Catarian technology for everyday solutions or defense.

Despite adapting, Laura retains core Catarian personality traits: curiosity, playfulness, a degree of pride, and possessiveness towards Tomcat. Loyalty to those deemed friends or allies is consistent. Her interactions often involve navigating cultural misunderstandings and the clash between her royal background and ordinary Earth life.

Her development involves increasing competence in handling Earth life and threats from Catton. Moments reveal deeper emotional vulnerability beneath her confident exterior, particularly concerning acceptance and belonging. Laura's presence consistently disrupts Tomcat's routine, driving conflicts and comedic situations centered around hiding her alien nature while countering Catton's schemes.

Laura's arc focuses on her struggle for autonomy against the forced marriage, the ongoing effort to build a life on Earth, and the evolving, complex relationship with Tomcat, balancing genuine affection with cultural differences and instinctual drives. The threat from Catton and the question of Laura's long-term future on Earth versus Cataria remain unresolved.
