Description
Hina Setoguchi attends Sakuragaoka High School as the younger sister of Yu Setoguchi. Living next door to the Enomoto family makes her childhood friends with both Natsuki and Kotaro Enomoto. Her brother Yu dotes on her, fostering a supportive relationship where she freely borrows his clothes or plays his games. Though they have occasional disagreements, Hina deeply admires Yu as a kind and mature ideal figure.

Standing 149 cm tall, Hina is the shortest in her peer group. She has light pink hair, typically worn in twin low pigtails reaching her neck or shoulder-length when down, with sidelocks framing her cheeks and bangs. Her eyes are purple. She wears the standard Sakuragaoka female uniform, often adding a yellow cardigan in colder weather or a short-sleeved white shirt when warm. Casually, she favors a striped hoodie with shorts and occasionally pins her bangs back at home.

Bubbly, energetic, and expressive, Hina displays exaggerated emotions when happy or upset. Despite her outwardly cheerful demeanor, she harbors deep-seated insecurities, particularly struggling to fully convey romantic feelings to crushes, causing her significant frustration. Her perceptiveness and empathy enable strong friendships, like helping Arisa Takamizawa emerge from her shell. She readily befriends those marginalized, shown by her early kindness to Koyuki Ayase before his social acceptance. She also quickly discerns others' romantic feelings, including Kotaro's affection for her.

Her development includes a middle school crush on Koyuki Ayase, sparked by an awkward encounter where he accidentally saw her underwear. She nurtured these feelings for years, planning to confess in high school. However, Koyuki's graduation and lingering attachment to Natsuki complicated this. In their second year, Hina wrote a love letter but witnessed Koyuki distraught after overhearing Natsuki and Yu's mutual confession. When she finally shouted her feelings, Koyuki misinterpreted it as pity and rejected her.

At this low point, Kotaro Enomoto intervened, walking her home and inviting her to his soccer tryouts. This marked a turning point; Hina began regularly supporting Kotaro at soccer events. Their frequent, sometimes contentious, interactions led her to appreciate his steadfastness. She gradually recognized Kotaro as her "hero," realizing her romantic feelings for him. Their relationship culminated in mutual love, with Kotaro confessing openly and Hina responding affectionately.

Hina participates in the Track and Field club as a hurdler, mentoring junior Hiyori Suzumi. Outside school, she enjoys playing platformer video games with Natsuki. Her friendships extend to classmates like Kako Koganei from middle school and high school peers Ken Shibasaki and Kodai Yamamoto.

Her name "Hina" (雛) means "chick, duckling, doll," associating her with bird motifs in promotional art. Her surname "Setoguchi" (瀬戸口) translates to "strait, channel" and "mouth, entrance."
