Description
Mitty originated as a human girl with long, messy red hair tied in a ponytail, tan skin, and red eyes, dressed simply in a red bralette and yellow cloth skirt. Energetic, optimistic, and kind, she aspired to be a White Whistle delver. Her outgoing nature forged a bond with Nanachi during their forced descent into the Abyss under Bondrewd, insisting they partner despite Nanachi's reluctance.

At Ido Front on the 5th Layer, Bondrewd subjected Mitty and Nanachi to an elevator device that descended rapidly to the 6th Layer's Miniature Garden of Dawn before ascending. This concentrated the Abyss's Curse solely onto Mitty, absorbing Nanachi's share. Mitty remained reassuring until transformation overtook her, collapsing into agonized screams and pleas for Nanachi to end her life. The curse morphed her into an amorphous Narehate: pink-furred with cat-like ears and paws, a vertically split mouth, and long claws.

Post-transformation, Mitty lost intelligence and speech, communicating only through soft mewls or pained cries. She crawled minimally, relying on Nanachi for mobility. Bondrewd experimented extensively, confirming virtual indestructibility—she regenerated from dismemberment, poisoning, and impalement, though deformities worsened with each regeneration. Bondrewd's Sparagmos artifact destroyed her left eye, the sole unhealed injury. Unable to bear Mitty's suffering, Nanachi escaped with her to the 4th Layer, creating a hideout where repeated euthanasia attempts failed due to her immortality.

Mitty occasionally displayed awareness, such as crawling toward an unconscious Riko while retracting claws to avoid harm. Nanachi interpreted this as fondness, speculating Mitty recognized Riko as another girl. Riko later recalled sensing Mitty's presence during poison-induced delirium, describing mutual comfort through shared awareness. After witnessing Reg's Incinerator—similar to Sparagmos—Nanachi begged Reg to target Mitty. Reg agreed on condition Nanachi forgo suicide. Mitty was laid on a mat amid stuffed toys; Reg's blast erased her existence. Riko sensed Mitty's departure and newfound peace.

In the 6th Layer's Iruburu village, a replica Mitty emerged after Bondrewd brought the original there. The sage Belaf, obsessed with her immortality, exchanged body parts to replicate her perfectly, including her soul from that moment. This Mitty resided in a custom pot within Belaf's flower-filled, brightly lit chamber, her regenerating flesh consumed by him as food. Discovering the replica, Nanachi traded their freedom to Belaf for Mitty's ownership, halting her consumption. Village rules dictated replicated beings vanished if taken beyond Iruburu's barrier. Choosing liberation over confinement, Nanachi carried Mitty toward the barrier. Tearfully promising reunion, Nanachi watched Mitty fade away.

Mitty's narrative presents a paradox in disability representation: her nonverbal state, immobility, and monstrous form align with dehumanizing perceptions, while her demonstrated consciousness and emotional capacity challenge them. Repeated euthanasia—framed as mercy—raises ethical questions on valuing life by ability. Her story juxtaposes inherent personhood against societal exclusion, with erasure interpreted as commentary on discarding the non-functional.
