Description
Bondrewd, the Sovereign of Dawn, reigns as a White Whistle delver within the fifth layer of the Abyss, commanding the research outpost Ido Front. Renowned for charting unexplored routes, devising curse-countering drugs, and securing a lasting foothold in the perilous fifth layer, his accolades are tainted by ruthless practices: illicit human trials, ecological devastation, and trafficking forbidden relics—crimes that mark him a fugitive beyond borders.

Once a scientist driven by insatiable curiosity, Bondrewd harnessed the Zoaholic, a relic permitting consciousness transference, to splinter his psyche across loyal Umbra Hands. This network of surrogate bodies rendered him functionally immortal. A decade before pivotal events, he relinquished his original form to forge his White Whistle—a Life-reverberating Stone molded into clasped hands, activated by friction against his masked visage.

His research centers on defying the Abyss’s curses via cartridges: humans stripped to visceral cores, encased in portable units. These vessels bear the curse’s brunt, sustained by drugs eliciting terror and euphoria. His most abhorred trials involved children; Nanachi and Mitty endured the sixth layer’s curse, transforming the latter into an immortal Hollow while granting Nanachi curse immunity—the Blessing.

Prushka, orphaned daughter of an Umbra Hand, became his ward, reared with deceptive tenderness. Yet he converted her into a cartridge, weaponizing her devotion to mimic the Blessing and momentarily defy the curse in battle. Even as he discards subjects into the Miniature Garden of Dawn, he memorializes their names and aspirations, cloaking brutality in warped benevolence.

In combat, he wields relics like Sparagmos—a regenerative-nullifying tail weapon—and adapts tactics seamlessly. Physical defeat proves fleeting; the Zoaholic ensures his consciousness endures, shifting to new hosts. He spares victorious foes, permitting their descent as tribute to their prowess.

Guided by belief in the Abyss’s cyclical rebirth, Bondrewd deems any atrocity permissible to arm humanity for survival. Moral boundaries dissolve before his scientific zeal, framing a paradox: a figure both courteous and callous, nurturing yet monstrous, eternally devoted to progress at any cost.
