Description
Jashin-chan, a lamia demon from Hell, was summoned to the human world by college student Yurine Hanazono using an incomplete grimoire ritual. Trapped unless Yurine dies or completes the dismissal spell, she persistently attempts to assassinate her summoner. These efforts always fail, resulting in brutal, regenerative punishment due to her near-instant healing. Her physical form combines the upper body of a blonde, blue-eyed human female with light blue ribbons in her hair and the lower body of a green serpent, standing roughly 150 cm tall and stretching 2 meters long. She typically wears minimal clothing, occasionally adding a red cape featuring a hood with cat-like ears or a pink tracksuit in later seasons, carrying a purse inscribed with her contact details outdoors.

Her personality is overtly selfish, lazy, and prone to bullying weaker beings like the ice devil Kōji. She frequently manipulates her childhood friend Medusa for money, treating her like a personal ATM, and displays arrogance towards perceived inferiors. Despite this, she possesses a hidden capacity for kindness, often helping friends in distress, cooking for them, or protecting them from threats, though she masks these actions with tsundere denials. She experiences deep distress from loneliness, especially when ignored by family or during conflicts with Medusa, and exhibits intense jealousy when Medusa interacts with others. Her complex relationship with Yurine evolves from hostile assassination attempts into contentious cohabitation, involving household chores and occasional concern for Yurine's well-being, such as nursing her during illness.

Her background identifies her as part of a high-ranking noble family in Hell, her parents overseeing agricultural resources. Her excessively long, unmemorable full name led to the moniker "Jashin-chan," derived from the Japanese word for "evil god." Despite claims of high status, she is considered one of Hell's weakest demons and is implied to have been disowned for her behavior. Her abilities include superhuman strength, regeneration, and an improbable talent for controlling dice outcomes, which she fails to exploit for gambling. Her primary attack, the "Dropkick," is frequently ineffective against Yurine; other unconventional techniques include the "Royal Copenhagen" punch and "Tangle Teezer" uppercut. She harbors a severe phobia of frogs, freezing upon encountering them, and maintains peculiar habits like hiding half-eaten food or obsessively playing pachinko.

Across seasons, movies, and spin-offs, her development reveals gradual emotional growth. In *Apocalypse Day*, she actively searches for Yurine in devastated Takamori, demonstrating unexpected loyalty. Her relationships are multifaceted: with Medusa, she shares a bond likened to a married couple, capable of profound declarations like "aishiteru"; with Minos, she exhibits mutual respect rooted in childhood friendship; and with angels like Pekola, she oscillates between bullying and genuine camaraderie. Persephone II, initially despised as a rival, eventually garners her reluctant affection as a sister figure. Interactions with Kyon-Kyon involve reckless antics, while her dynamic with Hatsune Miku blends past familiarity with present ambivalence.

In the *Girls' Frontline* collaboration event, her traits translate into gameplay mechanics emphasizing dropkick attacks and domestic skills. Her narrative arc consistently balances comedic violence with underlying themes of loneliness and reluctant redemption, culminating in moments where she prioritizes others' safety over self-interest, particularly during crises like *Apocalypse Day*.
