Tart is a ferret-like fairy prince from the Sweets Kingdom, sporting light brown fur, a white stomach, and a signature indigo shawl. He speaks in a distinctive Kansai dialect, often ending sentences with "~ya" or "~yade." As prince, he was engaged to Azukina, a squirrel-like fairy from a neighboring kingdom, in an arranged marriage meant to unite their realms. Before the main story, he found the infant fairy Chiffon in a forest and became her primary caretaker on the orders of the Sweets Kingdom's elder, Tiramisu. He journeyed to the human world with Chiffon to locate the legendary Pretty Cure warriors, taking up residence with Love Momozono and her family in Clover Town. Posing as an ordinary pet ferret, he aided the Cures in their fight against the organization Labyrinth. Tart's personality blends anxiety, a tendency to overreact, and occasional belated recollection of vital information with a deeply caring and protective nature, especially towards Chiffon and his fiancée, Azukina. He developed a familial bond with Love and her adoptive sister Setsuna, living in their household and sharing their daily life, though this closeness sometimes led to comedic friction, like when he secretly ate their ice cream. A pivotal moment involved Inori Yamabuki, who initially feared ferrets due to a past incident. When a monster swapped their bodies, Tart experienced life in human form—even wearing a Pretty Cure costume—while Inori faced her phobia from his perspective. This mutual experience fostered understanding, helping Inori overcome her fear and forge a lasting friendship with Tart. They later collaborated in caring for Chiffon, with Inori creating aromatic scents for him as a friendly gesture. Tart also maintained a professional rapport with Kaoru, a café owner who provided him with his favorite food, doughnuts, in exchange for entertaining customers. In the *All Stars DX: Minna Tomodachi—Kiseki no Zenin Daishūgō* film, Tart played a key role during an interdimensional crisis. Witnessing the composite villain Fusion emerge in the human world, he rushed to warn fellow fairies Coco and Nutts in the Palmier Kingdom. Amidst the ensuing chaos, he became separated from the Pretty Cure teams and participated in reuniting scattered mascots with their partners. He supported the combined Cure forces battling Fusion and, after Chiffon distributed the Rainbow Miracle Lights to amplify their powers, witnessed Fusion's defeat. The film concludes with him attending a dance contest alongside the other characters. After Labyrinth's defeat, Tart returned to the Sweets Kingdom with Azukina and Chiffon to formalize his marriage and resume royal duties. Supplementary materials note he continued periodic visits to the human world to stay connected with Love and her friends. Tart holds franchise distinctions as the first mascot to explicitly identify himself as a fairy to the Cures and the first depicted with visible sclera in his eyes.
