He speaks in a distinctive Kansai dialect, often ending sentences with "~ya" or "~yade." As prince, he was engaged to Azukina, a squirrel-like fairy from a neighboring kingdom, in an arranged marriage meant to unite their realms. Before the main story, he found the infant fairy Chiffon in a forest and became her primary caretaker on the orders of the Sweets Kingdom's elder, Tiramisu. He journeyed to the human world with Chiffon to locate the legendary Pretty Cure warriors, taking up residence with Love Momozono and her family in Clover Town. Posing as an ordinary pet ferret, he aided the Cures in their fight against the organization Labyrinth. Tart's personality blends anxiety, a tendency to overreact, and occasional belated recollection of vital information with a deeply caring and protective nature, especially towards Chiffon and his fiancée, Azukina.
