She retains emotional ties to Akai despite their past romance ending when he infiltrated the Black Organization and became involved with Akemi Miyano. Professionally, she handles firearms expertly, evidenced by outdrawing Vermouth and intervening during Kir's interrogation of Rikumichi Kusuda. Her deduction identified Sharon Vineyard and her daughter Chris as the same person: Vermouth. She is fluent in English and functionally proficient in Japanese, though she initially struggled, making errors in coded messages. Her interests include action movies, mystery films, and video games. In "Episode One: The Great Detective Turned Small," Jodie appears briefly but significantly during a New York City sequence.
