Description
Emerald Queen, heir to the Emerald Kingdom, lost her parents in a fire set by Professor Clover. Adopted by the phantom thief Silver Heart, he renamed her Diamond Queen and concealed her origins. She trained alongside Joker and Spade at the Phantom Thief Academy under Silver Heart, graduating as a professional thief.
Queen possesses a strong will, physical prowess, and prioritizes muscle and intellect over gadgets. She wields a diamond sword capable of cutting nearly anything and sometimes employs playing cards as weapons. Energetic and fiercely loyal to Silver Heart, she remains tough, independent, and willing to challenge authority. She harbors a significant sweet tooth, favoring strawberry shortcake, and loves jewelry intensely, requiring restraint to avoid stealing it. She is clumsy at housework and cooking, delegating these chores to her assistant Roko, a genetically modified talking dog.
Manipulated by Professor Clover during the anime's first season, Queen believed Silver Heart murdered her parents. She attacked him, leaving him for dead, until Joker corrected the misunderstanding. In the second season (Episode 15, "The Secret Gourmet Party"), Queen and Roko attempted to steal the Rainbow Peacock Egg. They were captured and overfed by the head chef, resulting in significant weight gain, later resolved through diet and exercise.
Her design features long blond hair in pigtails, golden eyes with diamond-shaped pupils, and an orchid-purple bodysuit under a white-and-fuchsia outfit. She wears a diamond-shaped hair clip and a necklace gifted by Silver Heart, plus a diamond-shaped birthmark on her right hand. Her initial manga appearance differed but gradually aligned with the anime design.
In the manga sequel *Kaitou Shounen Jokers*, set twenty years later, Queen married Joker. They have two children: a son named J and an unnamed baby daughter. Queen disappeared prior to the sequel's events. J trained as a phantom thief under Hachi while Joker and their daughter searched for treasures in space aboard Phoenix's spaceship.
