Description
Hideo Akai, a tech-obsessed high school student, shares classes with Mew and Mica—alien androids masquerading as classmates. After uncovering their identities as the Hyper Dolls, he is coerced into silence, becoming their unwilling accomplice. His awareness of their secret drags him into perilous scenarios, from chaotic missions to bearing blame for their collateral mishaps.

Frequently engrossed in computer magazines during lessons, Akai scrimps to upgrade his hardware. He struggles to steer the Hyper Dolls toward their duties, but their penchant for snacking or festival-hopping overrides responsibility. Their clashes spark comedic friction, balancing Akai’s irritation with his unavoidable entanglement in their antics.

Classmate Shouko Aida occasionally hints at unspoken affection for him, though these threads linger unexplored. Akai’s core function lies as a mediator between the duo’s nonchalance and mounting dangers, anchoring their recklessness with pragmatic caution. His exchanges with them oscillate between wary fear, exasperated scolding, and begrudging teamwork, their dynamic static across documented events.

The manga touches on his deeper entanglement in their world, including missions against CHAOS-linked foes, but unresolved plotlines leave these arcs open. Akai remains a secondary anchor, perpetually caught between the Hyper Dolls’ whims and obligations, his backstory and growth uncharted beyond this role.
