TV-Series
Description
Labra is a female polar bear Jewelpet sporting white fur accented with pink on her right leg, hair tuft, tail, and inner ears, complemented by light blue heart-shaped paw pads. Her jewel eyes feature black and light blue labradorites, and she wears a pink pearl necklace centered by a Saturn-shaped labradorite jewel. She consistently ends sentences with "labu," a pattern evolving from "babu" used in infancy.
Her personality leans heavily into childishness and impulsivity, marked by frequent crying over minor provocations. Despite selfish and jealous tendencies often masked by cuteness, altruistic actions surface for friends. Relationships with Angela and Rosa recur. Labra wields power derived from Hidden Powers (originally called Mischief), connecting to the universe to potentially alter reality; her crying unleashes destructive magical energy.
Labra debuted in the first series, born in episode 39 via Raku Majo. She aided Ruby in achieving Super Crystal class status. Later, in Twinkle☆, she became Akari Sakura's secondary partner after initial magical inability. Ridicule from Nicola and Titana led her to accidentally break Moldavite's statue; Akari's help repaired it, awakening Labra's power to amplify her partners' magic.
Sunshine depicts her attending Sunshine Academy's Plum class as Angela's roommate. She formed an especially close bond with Jewelina, aspiring to eternal companionship. Post-graduation, Labra became a magician and witnessed Ruby and Granite's reunion.
In Kira☆Deco!, Labra served as a primary character and police officer in Jewel Town alongside Angela; their arrests often appeared unreasonable. Partnering with Midori Akagi culminated in obtaining a Jewel of Fate during the penultimate episode.
Happiness features Labra among central Jewelpets assisting Ruby at Jewelpet Café Happiness, collecting Magic Gems. A bond with Ruruka Hanayama in episode 4 yielded one gem, while a second materialized in episode 21.
Lady Jewelpet reduced her to a minor role, primarily serving as the subject of a baby-care test in episode 12. Magical Change reinstated her as a main character, residing with Ruby at Airi Kirara's house. A human transformation occurred while reaching for supermarket ingredients, revealing pink hair, blue eyes, and Saturn-themed attire; motorcycle rides with Angela are noted.
Attack Chance!? presents a more serious demeanor while retaining her core personality. Her efforts focus on restoring the Jewelpet anime's television broadcast status. The film Sweets Dance Princess includes her among Jewelpets visiting Sweetsland for Princess Mana's birthday.
Consistently portrayed as a baby across series—unlike Rosa's temporary child depiction—Labra remains the sole Jewelpet embodying a negative trait (Mischief) initially, later redefined as Hidden Powers. Celestial motifs appear via Saturn-themed accessories.
