> Buchinyan appears as a supporting character in the film "Yo-kai Watch: Sora Tobu Kujira to Double Sekai no Daibōken da Nyan!". He attends an outdoor pop concert alongside Jibanyan and Robonyan during the opening sequence. When a giant flying whale emits rainbow-hued sound waves, the phenomenon transforms the animated world into live-action, shifting Buchinyan from 2D animation to 3D CGI alongside the other characters. In the climactic battle against the whale monster Kujirama, Buchinyan participates alongside Yo-kai such as Orochi and Kyubi. During this confrontation, the whale swallows Buchinyan along with Orochi and Kyubi. After the whale's defeat, Buchinyan reappears unharmed alongside the other rescued Yo-kai.
