Description
Makoto is a wolf girl embodying wildness tempered by compassion. As a Caon guild member, she shares an unbreakable bond with Yui, acting as her steadfast wingwoman across realities. They were classmates at Tsubakigaoka Private High School in "That World."
Her loyalty often clashes with moral dilemmas. Patrolling Landosol at night, she discovered Yuuki, recognizing him as Yui's rescuer. Grateful, she aided him when lost. Later, she apologized after Octo, her associate, inadvertently caught Yuuki in an explosion during a mission targeting Muimi. Makoto vehemently disapproved of Octo's methods, asserting her role as a mercenary, not an assassin, and prioritized rescuing survivors from the wreckage.
Confronting Shizuru and Rino of Labyrinth guild, also pursuing Muimi, Makoto clashed fiercely with Shizuru to protect Muimi and her group, noting Shizuru's unexpected resilience. After Shizuru captured Muimi, Makoto guided Yuuki and others to safety as the terrain destabilized.
At Caon's base, Makoto reported Octo's manipulation by an unseen mastermind, deducing their guild was being framed. Christina of Nightmare then assaulted the base, exploiting beastfolk-humanfolk tensions. Makoto linked the attack to the earlier carriage incident involving Suzume's Princess Knight-affiliated guild, which provided a pretext. Enraged when Christina struck Kaori, Makoto fought her directly but was overpowered.
Her actions are frequently defined by her relationship with Yui. She consistently orchestrates opportunities for Yui and Yuuki to bond, such as leaving them alone at Twinkle Wish's Guild House or encouraging Yui to feed him, though Yui's shyness often hinders these efforts. Makoto's design presents a fusion of traditional samurai attire with contemporary elements.
Personality-wise, she seamlessly shifts between fierce combativeness and deep nurturing warmth, embodying both protector and emotional supporter. She prioritizes friends' safety, exemplified by her vow to Yuuki: "If I’m together with you, then we can beat any enemy easily! I’ll protect you."
In combat, she wields physical attack capabilities, specializing in reducing opponents' defenses. Her tactical positioning requires protection behind a sturdier vanguard to maximize effectiveness.
