Description
Alfred von Landsberg hailed from a prominent noble family boasting at least five generations of lineage, renowned for their privileged status and construction of secret tunnels beneath Neue Sanssouci Palace on Odin under imperial decree. He served as a rear admiral in the Lippstadt League during the Imperial Civil War of 797 UC (488 IC / 3597 CE), supporting yet abstaining from active participation in Admiral Staaden's planned invasion of Odin. Following the League's defeat, he entered exile on Fezzan. There, he sold star sapphire cuff links bestowed by Kaiser Friedrich IV and submitted a volume of poetry and short stories titled "A History of the Lippstadt War" for publication, only to face rejection due to inaccuracies and inappropriate romanticism—a rejection that fueled his subsequent endeavors.

In March 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE), Landsberg accepted recruitment by Rupert Kesserling, an aide to Fezzan's Landesherr Adrian Rubinsky, for a plot against the Galactic Empire. Partnering with Captain Leopold Schumacher, he traveled to Odin using forged passports. Exploiting the palace tunnels built by his ancestors, they abducted the child emperor Erwin Josef II in July 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE) and fled aboard the Fezzan ship Rocinante to the Free Planets Alliance, unaware Fezzan orchestrated the scheme to incite war.

On Heinessen, Landsberg, Schumacher, and nobleman Jochen von Remscheid established a Goldenbaum government-in-exile. Landsberg became the young emperor's primary caretaker and earned promotion to vice admiral. When the Alliance succumbed to Reinhard von Lohengramm during Operation Ragnarök in 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), Landsberg fled with Erwin Josef and Schumacher upon the government's dissolution. His mental state deteriorated sharply, leading to the loss of the emperor's custody by March 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE). In 801 UC (3 NIC / 492 IC / 3601 CE), military police discovered Landsberg with a corpse he falsely declared was the starved kaiser; Schumacher later revealed it was taken from a morgue. Documented insanity marked Landsberg's final known condition. This character appears in the anime adaptation "Die Neue These Second," reflecting these narrative events.
