TV Special
Description
Shizuka Minamoto, also known as Shizuka-chan, is a central character in the Doraemon franchise, appearing in the special "Doraemon Meets Hattori the Ninja" alongside Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, and Gian. She possesses intelligence, kindness, and a generally calm demeanor. Her appearance features light skin, dark eyes, and dark hair styled in short pigtails, often accompanied by pink clothing.

She maintains a close friendship with Nobita Nobi, frequently supporting him despite his academic and personal shortcomings; their relationship evolves into marriage in the future, resulting in a son named Nobisuke. Shizuka is also friends with Takeshi "Gian" Goda and Suneo Honekawa, though she disapproves of Gian's forceful behavior and Suneo's occasional selfishness, particularly when they exclude Nobita. She studies regularly with Hidetoshi Dekisugi but ultimately rejects his romantic advances, citing his perceived perfection and lack of need for her support, contrasting with Nobita's dependability and kindness.

Shizuka exhibits a strong sense of empathy, often caring for weaker individuals, animals, or neglected objects. She bathes multiple times daily, a trait that frequently leads to comedic interruptions due to misused gadgets. Her interests include playing the violin, though her skill level is notably poor, comparable to Gian's singing. She reluctantly takes piano lessons at her mother's insistence but prefers the violin. She also enjoys baking, often sharing cakes or cookies with friends.

Her background includes a typical family life with her parents, Yoshio and Michiko Minamoto. She owns pets such as a canary named Peeko, which frequently escapes, and a dog named Pero, saved from illness by Nobita and Doraemon. Shizuka's core traits—compassion, moral integrity, and loyalty—remain consistent across media, reinforcing her role as a stabilizing influence within the group.
