Ryo is a Darkus brawler recognized for devising battle strategies for others rather than participating in combat himself. He has brown eyes and brown hair that reaches his ears, appearing to be in his teens. Ryo first emerged when Dan Kuso showcased Drago, an act that landed Dan in trouble. After Dan nearly damaged Ryo's computer, Ryo chose to brawl and was enlisted by Masquerade to help defeat Dan. He battled and achieved a decisive victory over Dan in their initial encounter. However, after Dan reunited with Drago, Ryo was defeated by Dan in a rematch. Following the halt of Masquerade's actions, Ryo agreed to battle Dan without Doom Cards, and the two became allies. He was later observed watching the final battle with Naga. Ryo is distinguished as the first character to have defeated Dan in battle.
