Description
Aoba, a second-year student at Cherryton Academy and drama club member, is a bald eagle distinguished by his athletic frame, imposing height, and unique plumage—primarily white with a brown chest, diverging from natural counterparts. His sharp features include a thick, elongated neck, a prominent yellow hooked beak, and narrow, focused eyes with black pupils, often reflecting his composed demeanor. He adheres to the school dress code, donning indigo vests and gray trousers in cooler months and short-sleeved polos during summer.

Calm and methodical, Aoba acts as a mediator among peers like Legoshi and Bill, resolving disputes through pragmatic reasoning. His disciplined ethics and intellectual clarity anchor his reputation as a respected voice in tense situations. Privately, he nurtures a fascination with flight and romance, aspiring to earn a pilot’s license.

Once convinced carnivores required meat to honor their nature, Aoba confronted this belief during a Black Market visit. Though initially resolved to taste meat, he abandoned the act upon picturing herbivore classmates, sparking a rejection of his former ideology. This pivot deepened his empathy for carnivores grappling with societal norms, though he briefly harbored resentment toward Bill’s carnivorous habits. Gradually, he embraced a more nuanced view of such struggles.

At the Meteor Festival, Aoba guided Legoshi to the Black Market, initially supporting Bill’s aggressive stance before confessing his own inability to consume meat. This vulnerability resonated with Legoshi, bridging their shared conflict between instinct and morality. Later, discussions with Bill about Louis’ absence and leadership insecurities underscored Aoba’s capacity to dissect social tensions with tact, balancing candor and diplomacy.

His evolution from rigid principles to compassionate pragmatism illustrates a growing awareness of systemic pressures on carnivores. As a mediator and trusted confidant, Aoba employs a blend of logic and emotional acuity to navigate ethical dilemmas, solidifying his role as a steadying presence among peers.
