Description
Yoshika Miyafuji hails from Fuso, born into a family renowned for exceptional magical lineage where her mother and grandmother uniquely retained high magic power past their twenties. Raised in a rural mountain village intending to inherit her grandmother's clinic, she developed a strong desire to heal and protect others. Her father, Dr. Miyafuji Ichiro, famed as the "Father of Striker Units," died during the war, fostering her initial aversion to military conflict. Limited exposure to wartime propaganda left her unaware of the widespread admiration for Witches.

Recruited by Major Sakamoto Mio for the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, Yoshika resisted enlistment due to her anti-war stance. She relented only after defending the Fuso fleet against a Neuroi attack and receiving a letter confirming her father's survival. Despite no prior flight training, she successfully executed her maiden flight during combat. As a combat medic, her inherent healing magic—a telekinetic lineage ability—restored living beings to their original state, treating injuries and illnesses. Initially fatigued after healing a single person, combat experience advanced her capacity to treat over ten consecutively.

Her magic also generated exceptionally large and potent shields, later refined into concentrated battering rams against Neuroi. Her original Mitsubishi A6M Zero-modeled Striker Unit automatically engaged its limiter when her magic power overwhelmed it. She subsequently mastered the prototype Shinden Striker (based on the Kyushu J7W Shinden) during its maiden flight, destroying a super-large Neuroi single-handedly.

Earnest, energetic, and stubborn with a strong sense of duty, Yoshika forms friendly bonds easily, notably with Lynette Bishop and Perrine Clostermann. After joining the 501st, she developed a flat-chested complex, often unintentionally focusing on or touching others' breasts. She sought autographs from celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor without knowing their identities. Skilled in housework, particularly cooking Fuso cuisine, she maintained a fixation on natto.

During the Romagna campaign, Yoshika expended all her magic power in a Reppuzan attack to save Sakamoto from a Neuroi core, resulting in permanent magic loss—a sacrifice she deemed worthwhile to protect someone important. Dishonorably discharged for repeated violations of military protocol, including unauthorized communication with a humanoid Neuroi, she returned to Japan yet continued supplying Yokosuka Base with homemade pastries.

Post-discharge, she resumed studies at Yokosuka 4th Girls' Middle School and later enrolled in a prestigious Helvetian medical school to pursue non-magical healing. She temporarily regained her magic during a Neuroi attack in Gallia, attributing the recovery to the "voices of her companions" reaching her via transceiver. In the Berlin campaign, witnessing a comrade's near-death explosively reignited her power, enabling her to heal mortal wounds before drawing Neuroi attention away to facilitate the hive's destruction.

In "Operation Victory Arrow," set after the 501st's disbandment, Yoshika appears in post-credit scenes receiving photos and letters from former comrades depicting Karlsland members in dirndl dresses and Lucchini's group in Tobruk, indicating her continued connection despite being in Japan. Her familiar is a Mameshiba named Kuji Kanesada.
