Bazett Fraga McRemitz is an Irish magus from an ancient family with a unique bloodline. She serves the Mage's Association as a First-Combat Specialist and Sealing Designation Enforcer. Initially tasked with retrieving Heroic Spirit Class Cards, her mission was reassigned to Rin Tohsaka and Luviagelita Edelfelt by Zelretch, who gave them the two Cards Bazett had secured. Political pressure later forced her to return and secure all seven Cards herself. Physically robust, Bazett casually tosses furniture, uproots large sections of earth, and causes significant collateral damage with her strikes. Her combat prowess allows her to match Heroic Spirits barehanded, effortlessly destroying projected Noble Phantasms and deflecting magecraft with her fists. Her rune-imbued gloves possess toughness exceeding tungsten steel and amplify her striking power, enabling her to shatter defensive barriers. Her resilience includes a Noble Phantasm-class Rune of Resurrection that instantly restores fatal wounds, including direct heart injuries, upon cardiac arrest. Her primary weapon is Fragarach, a Noble Phantasm stored in a lead container. It activates after an opponent uses their ultimate technique, rewinding time to strike the attacker's heart before their move activates. This nullifies the attack while delivering a lethal counter. For instance, when Miyu used Rider's Bellerophon attack while mounted on Pegasus, Fragarach killed the Pegasus instead of Miyu by targeting the attack's source. Its effect can be circumvented by specific curses like Rin's Death Agony Slavery, which links damage between master and servant. Personally serious and mission-focused, Bazett shows little interest beyond her work. She possesses a strong sense of justice, refusing to involve uninvolved parties, especially children, in magus conflicts. Though she attempts mercy, she fights ruthlessly against those who defy her, regardless of age. Pragmatic, she sleeps in cardboard boxes and eats roadside grass when necessary, citing Japan's mild climate and abundant resources. Underneath her stern exterior lies loneliness. During her mission in Fuyuki, she targeted Luvia Edelfelt, Rin Tohsaka, Illyasviel von Einzbern, and Miyu Edelfelt to reclaim the Class Cards. She overwhelmed Luvia and Rin in combat, collected multiple Cards, and engaged Illya and Kuro. Though initially dominant, Rin's strategic use of a curse and revelation of an eighth Class Card forced a truce. Bazett agreed to return three Cards in exchange for information on the new Card's location. Financial penalties for collateral damage left her impoverished, leading her to take temporary jobs like selling ice pops. She later participated in confronting the eighth Card holder, Gilgamesh, in the Mirror World. Persisting through the onslaught from his Gate of Babylon, her tenacity, Rune of Resurrection, and Kuro's assistance allowed her to land a critical strike. She temporarily extracted the Card before the group retreated. She continued collaborating with the group after Gilgamesh escaped into the real world, observing his pursuit of a non-Einzbern Holy Grail. When a dimensional rift opened during the final battle, she was abruptly transported to a parallel world. In subsequent events, she joined the group's efforts against the Ainsworth family, who sought to sacrifice Miyu as a Holy Grail to save their dying world.
