Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu rules as the military leader. He faces the Mischievous Princess's rebellion, specifically her attacks upon him using a wooden sword while adopting the boy's name Tsuyumaru. This forces the protagonist, Ikkyū, to intervene and persuade the princess toward more appropriate conduct to avert further conflict with the shogun.
