Movie
Description
Makoto Isshiki becomes Yuuta Togashi's first high school friend, bonding over their shared initial unfamiliarity with classmates. He occupies the seat directly behind Yuuta. Makoto frequently creates profiles of female classmates and actively seeks their attention, behavior often perceived as perverted. He joins the Light Music Club primarily to attract girls, purchasing a distinctive red electric guitar despite lacking playing skill. His focus shifts dramatically upon meeting Kumin Tsuyuri; he develops genuine romantic feelings for her after she expresses a desire to pat his head, leading him to eventually decide on leaving the club, a decision met with disapproval from his seniors.

Visually, Makoto possesses tanned skin, short black hair, and blue eyes. Following an incident where he was caught conducting a "cutest girl in class" poll, he shaves his head completely as self-punishment. He consistently wears the standard male high school uniform: a long black jacket with white accents, a red and white tie, black pants, and brown shoes.

His background reveals a junior high baseball crew cut he disliked for making him appear childish. Makoto harbors significant anxiety about premature baldness, having inherited this genetic trait from his father who became bald at age 35. Based on this pattern, Makoto expects to lose his hair in a little over twenty years.

Throughout the series, Makoto provides steadfast support to Yuuta. In Season 1, he affirms the authenticity of Yuuta's feelings for Rikka Takanashi and encourages him to confess. His role diminishes in Season 2, where he appears infrequently, primarily serving as comic relief. He attends Yuuta and Rikka's wedding ceremony in the movie *Takanashi Rikka Kai ~Gekijou-ban Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!~* (Rikka Version), though his narrative participation remains minimal and consistent with his supporting function.

Makoto exhibits a fundamentally friendly and loyal personality, particularly towards Yuuta. Despite his comedic and often misguided attempts to gain female attention, he demonstrates genuine concern for his friends' relationships and emotional well-being. His persistent romantic interest in Kumin Tsuyuri endures as a consistent character trait across all appearances.
