He donned gothic attire with multiple belts, convinced he wielded dark flames, and performed elaborate techniques such as "Vicious Dragon Leg" and "Crimson Neowave." This phase resulted in social alienation, later becoming a source of profound embarrassment. Seeking a fresh start, he enrolled in a distant high school determined to live a normal life.
His resolve falters upon encountering classmate Rikka Takanashi, who persistently acts as the "Wicked Eye," a fellow chūnibyō sufferer. She immediately recognizes his past identity as the Dark Flame Master, forcing an unwanted connection to his former persona. Despite initial resistance, Yuta gets drawn into Rikka's club, the Far Eastern Magic Napping Society of Summer.
