Description
Rikka Takanashi (小鳥遊 六花), a 15-year-old at her story's start who turns 16 in the second season and 17 in the second movie, celebrates her birthday on June 12th (Gemini) and has blood type A. She stands 150 cm tall and weighs 47 kg.

Her appearance features dark purple-blue hair tied with a yellow ribbon, cyan-colored eyes, and a distinctive ahoge reacting to her emotions. She conceals a yellow contact lens on her right eye under a medical eyepatch, claiming it seals her powerful "Tyrant's Eye" (also called "Wicked Eye" or "True Eye of the Evil King"). She frequently wears roller shoes. Her typical attire includes a school uniform of a black blazer, white dress shirt, red bowtie, red tartan skirt with a cross accessory, or gothic lolita dresses outside school. Her primary accessory is the "Schwarz Shield Prototype Mark-II," a frilly, spring-loaded parasol she wields as a weapon.

Severe chuunibyou defines her personality, leading her to believe her "Tyrant's Eye" grants supernatural powers to reveal destinies, requiring sealing to prevent uncontrolled energy. She considers those who see her uncovered eye bound by contract. She adopts dramatic battle poses when meeting strangers and invents elaborate backstories for mundane activities. Presenting herself as a cool sorceress, she is inherently clumsy, struggles academically, and finds friendship difficult, initially listing only two contacts. She uses German-derived names like "Gungnir" and "Dark Matter Blaze" for her imagined attacks.

Her background reveals a happy childhood with parents and older sister Tōka Takanashi until her father's sudden death from illness. Unable to accept his loss, she developed chuunibyou as a coping mechanism, creating a fantasy world where she could find him beyond the "Invisible Boundary Lines" (不可視境界線, Fukashikyoukaisen). Conflict with her strict grandfather led her to move in with Tōka. Witnessing Yuuta Togashi's past chuunibyou persona, the "Dark Flame Master," further influenced her delusions, which she saw as kinship.

In Season 1, she enrolls at Icho Private High School, founds the "Far Eastern Magic Napping Society of Summer," and forces Yuuta into a contract to locate the "Invisible Boundary Lines." Initially dismissive, Yuuta eventually supports her quest, their relationship deepening into mutual romantic feelings as her delusions intertwine with her processing grief.

The movie *Takanashi Rikka Kai* revisits Season 1 events from her perspective, including dreams of marrying Yuuta and reaffirming their commitment.

Season 2 shows her continuing club activities while striving to reawaken Yuuta's "Dark Flame Dragon" persona to strengthen their bond, her delusions evolving to incorporate their relationship.

The film *Take On Me* addresses her resistance to moving to Italy with Tōka. She elopes with Yuuta across Japan to avoid separation, but their closeness causes her "powers" to wane, leading to anxiety that Yuuta's affection depends on her chuunibyou persona. The journey forces her to confront this fear, culminating in a symbolic ring exchange as proof of enduring commitment.

Her name "Rikka" (六花) means "six" and "flower," alluding to a snowflake's hexagon shape, referencing her mother's winter pregnancy and wish for her uniqueness. "Takanashi" (小鳥遊) combines "little bird" and "play." Her chuunibyou alter ego is "Jaou Shingan" (邪王真眼, "True Eye of the Evil King").
