Description
Haruka Ogasawara, a third-year student at Kitauji High during Kumiko Oumae's first year, presides over the concert band as its president while leading the saxophone section as a baritone saxophonist. She possesses shoulder-length dark brown hair, typically styled in twin side tails, and golden-brown eyes, most often seen in the standard third-year Kitauji uniform.

Politeness, maturity, and diligence define her approach to leadership, though timidity occasionally surfaces. Haruka maintains a reserved demeanor and worries Asuka Tanaka's flamboyant behavior might discourage potential members like Hazuki Katou. Despite her official role, she grapples with significant self-doubt about her effectiveness as president, often feeling overshadowed by Asuka's charisma and popularity. Persistent guilt over her perceived failure to prevent the band's schism the previous year fuels her insecurity.

Haunted by those unresolved conflicts, Haruka's leadership prioritizes harmony and collective effort, actively working to shield the band from past tensions. Though she questions her own capabilities and sometimes wishes Asuka would shoulder more responsibility, Haruka finds the courage to confront the band's emotional baggage, successfully uniting members toward shared goals despite her quieter presence.

Beyond the band room, Haruka enjoys rock music and attending live concerts. Her skilled hobby is playing the kendama. White and black are her favorite colors.

Her name "Haruka" combines the characters for "clear weather" (晴) and "fragrance" (香). The surname "Ogasawara" incorporates meanings for "small" (小), "shade" or "bamboo hat" (笠), and "field" (原).
