Description
Rinku Aimoto is a second-year Yoba Academy student who spent her childhood on Tio Tio Island near Africa due to her parents' work, returning alone to Japan for high school to live with her grandmother. Her mother is a dung beetle entomologist and her father a zoologist. Growing up in relative isolation with few humans or peers, she befriended wild animals and turned to stargazing to combat loneliness. This upbringing cultivated her strong connection to nature, exceptional rhythm, exposure to African music, and interest in Japanese anime and manga consumed abroad, all influencing her later DJ activities.

She maintains a consistently cheerful, optimistic personality, often seen as an oddball for conversing with monkeys and calling nature her friend. Her airheaded nature causes frequent comical misunderstandings, like confusing "influencer" with "influenza" or loudly commenting on others' physical traits. However, she shows sincerity and seriousness when friends highlight crucial matters. Her name reflects her role as a connector: "Ai" (愛) meaning love, "Moto" (本) signifying origin, and "Rinku" (リンク) translating to "link."

Physically, she has red eyes and medium-length blonde hair styled with an overhead braid section, typically featuring a red bow on the right side. She owns a pet chameleon named Leon and expresses fondness for lions. Accustomed to tropical climates, she struggles with cold weather.

Within the Petit Mix storyline, she actively participates in musical and social activities with her unit and other groups. She brings an invitation to the "Legendary Fes," a once-every-hundred-years event, but later forgets to register, requiring intervention. She initiates a singing voice conference to discuss vocal improvement techniques, distributing items to aid this effort. Her interactions include spa parties, deserted island survival scenarios, and collaborative performances. She consistently emphasizes unity, using methods like distributing seashells to bring people together. Her journey culminates in pursuing the finish line for her friends during the U4 FES finals.

Her catchphrase "Happy Around!" stems from her habit of joyfully spinning while shouting the phrase, a behavior shared by her family. This phrase later became the name of her DJ unit.
