Yūka Nishio

Description
Yūka Nishio is a Japanese musician, singer, voice actress, and DJ affiliated with the agency Hibiki. Born on March 31, 1994, in Kanagawa Prefecture, she began her entertainment career in 2016 as a solo singer under the stage name Haruca. During this time, she released the single "Eien no Kotae" in October 2017, which was used as the ending theme for the anime series Kado: The Right Answer. A graduate of Keio University, she had a background in playing the violin during her youth, an experience that would later inform her voice acting roles.

In April 2019, Nishio successfully auditioned for her current agency, changed her stage name from Haruca to Yūka Nishio, and began focusing on voice acting. Her first major roles came in 2020, establishing her as a prominent figure in Bushiroad's multimedia franchises. She was cast as the main protagonist Rinku Aimoto in the D4DJ project, a role that utilizes her real-life experience as a DJ. That same year, she joined the BanG Dream! music project as Nanami Hiromachi, the bassist of the band Morfonica. Despite having no prior experience with the instrument, she learned to play bass for the role and developed a rapport with her bandmate and violinist Ayasa due to their shared musical background. She also voiced Yu Higashiyama in the anime adaptation of the collectible card game Rebirth.

Nishio has reprised these signature roles across numerous anime series, films, and video games. Her work as Rinku Aimoto continued in series like Pucchimiku D4DJ Petit Mix and D4DJ All Mix. As Nanami Hiromachi, she has appeared in various BanG Dream! projects, including the films BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage and BanG Dream! Poppin'Dream!, the special BanG Dream! Morfonication, and the short-form comedy series BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico Fever! and its predecessor, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!☆PICO ~OHMORI~. She also co-hosted the YouTube series Monica Radio with her Morfonica bandmate Hina Suguta.

Beyond these franchises, Nishio's filmography includes the role of Nao Inabe in the Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ anime series and its subsequent installments, Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Deluxe-hen and Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez. In video games, she has voiced her signature characters in BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! and D4DJ Groovy Mix, as well as the character Yuki Ichidoji in the Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days series. Her contributions to these music-centered projects highlight her multifaceted career as both a performer and voice actress.
