Misako is a teenage ghost haunting a dormitory. Initially invisible to other residents, she specifically targets Mitsuru Ikeda. While most dormitory occupants welcome her presence at first, Mitsuru finds her attentions disturbing. Her haunting escalates from targeting Mitsuru alone to actively disrupting daily life for all residents, manifesting supernatural expressions of romantic or possessive interest that cause significant chaos and discomfort.

Her core objective involves fulfilling a final wish: possessing Shinobu Tezuka's body. Using Shinobu's form, she aims to kiss Mitsuru directly, believing this act essential to find peace and achieve resolution. She successfully executes this plan, possessing Shinobu and kissing Mitsuru. Following this event, she seemingly attains peace and prepares to depart for the afterlife. However, her departure is complicated; instead of moving on alone, she returns accompanied by multiple other ghostly entities. These spirits join her in haunting the main characters, leaving their continued supernatural presence unresolved.
