Dan Amo, 27, works in the General Affairs department of Hyuga Corporation by day, meticulously maintaining an ordinary office persona. At night, he sheds this guise, transforming into an exceptionally skilled motorcycle rider known as "Zebra" among riders on Tokyo's Route 246. Standing 175cm tall, weighing 68kg, and with blood type B, he lives with his aunt Sanae Kobayashi, who raised him after he was orphaned as a child. She runs the Genesis Café in Aoyama, which serves as Dan's base for his nightly rides. His personal interests include playing the piano and creating computer graphics.

His carefully separated lives collide when freelance journalist Makina Mikage steals his company ID to investigate Hyuga's secrets, linking Dan to the corporation's development of the Marishi Machina powered suits—technology connected to the incident that claimed his parents' lives. Hyuga heir Kotaro Hyuga also becomes part of this entanglement. Dan initially avoids confronting this past trauma. However, company chairman Mitsukuni Hyuga reveals that Dan's mother might still be alive, held in cold sleep at a secret testing facility near Mt. Fuji. Seeking the truth, Dan accompanies Makina to the facility. There, Mitsukuni proposes re-running a test originally conducted by their parents' development team, suggesting it could revive Dan's mother and reveal the whereabouts of Makina's missing father.

When the Marishi Machina suit seizes control of Makina's body, Dan pursues her on his MT-09 Street Rally through the Shutoko expressway construction zone. His innate riding talent allows him to intercept her, preventing disaster. This event forces him to directly engage with the legacy of his parents' work.

Following these events, Dan undertakes a solo touring trip on his MT-09 Tracer, continuing his quest for closure regarding his mother's fate and his parents' unresolved history. His journey marks a distinct shift from avoidance to active confrontation with his past.
