Description
Makoto Andou, alias Magicaloid 44, is a 15-year-old runaway surviving on the streets. She habitually opts for the path of least resistance, shunning school and effort, a tendency that drove her from home. Her street life revolves around forming bonds with fellow homeless individuals and taking part-time jobs to sustain them.

Transforming into her magical girl state, Magicaloid 44 becomes a 120 cm tall robotic figure. Her appearance features stark white conical hair buns striped with black and pink, hot pink cross-shaped pupils, and a primary white and blue outfit adorned with black crown motifs on her limbs. A red backpack, housing her magical tools, accompanies her. Her magic grants her one random futuristic tool daily from a pool of 444,444,444 possibilities, each vanishing after 24 hours. Examples include the invisible cutting Razor Floss, the Insect Gender Identifier, the Anti-Magical Creature Ray Gun, the politeness-enforcing "Desu Note," and the Boss Battle Victory Generator, which produces scenario-specific items like the Hair Defender or Oceanic Coaster. Built-in propulsion systems enable flight in this robotic form.

Magicaloid 44's actions prioritize self-preservation and profit. She leverages her magical status for financial gain, exemplified by manipulating Sister Nana into paying for useless gadgets purportedly aiding Weiss Winterprison's magical girl aspirations. She exhibits minimal concern for others' lives, even orchestrating dangerous incidents to stage "rescues" and earn Magical Candies. Her sole genuine connections remain with her homeless companions. During the elimination game, she allies with Calamity Mary, perceiving her as the strongest protector. Despite enduring Mary's abuse, Magicaloid 44 craves her approval, agreeing to kill another magical girl to demonstrate loyalty. She targets Snow White, judged the weakest, and later attempts to kill Hardgore Alice. After decapitating Alice, Magicaloid 44 is impaled and killed by Alice's regenerating body.

Her name "Makoto," signifying "real" or "genuine," presents an irony given her deceitful nature, while "Andou," combining "peace" and "wisteria," contrasts her chaotic existence. Creator commentary notes her "discerning eye for both people and objects." Her design intentionally references Doraemon, sharing elements like a time-traveling origin and a gadget-filled backpack.
