Soratsugu Madoka, known as Enchu, trained in Magic Law alongside Toru Muhyo and Yoichi Himukai under instructor Page Klaus. He dedicated himself to becoming an Executor to support his sick mother. Muhyo's natural talent surpassed Enchu's diligence, however, and Muhyo received the Executor promotion while Enchu was absent following his mother's death. This rejection plunged Enchu into madness and despair. Discovered in this vulnerable state by Teeki, a practitioner of forbidden magic, Enchu joined the forbidden magic association Ark. Under Teeki's influence, he embraced forbidden magic to gain inhuman abilities, including generating multiple limbs and controlling malevolent spirits. This power aligned with his vengeful goals, specifically targeting Muhyo. Enchu sought not only to kill Muhyo but to inflict suffering, believing Muhyo's pain alone could fill his emotional void. He manipulated allies like the magical toolmaker Rio Kurotori by exploiting her resentment toward the Magical Law Association. Despite his villainy, Enchu retained traces of compassion. He prioritized saving Rio from spiritual corruption during a conflict, revealing lingering loyalty. After a confrontation with Muhyo and Jiro Kusano freed him from Teeki's control, Enchu confronted the extent of his crimes. He accepted responsibility, expressed remorse, and confessed his love for Muhyo – notably using the phrase "Daisukidayo Muhyo" ("I love you, Muhyo"), which faced censorship in some English adaptations – before receiving an indefinite sentence in Arcanum prison. Incarceration began Enchu's redemption. He resides in Arcanum under supervision yet maintains connections with former friends, receiving regular visits from Yu Abiko (Biko) who brings baked goods and soup. Enchu studies Magic Law again, aiming to eventually become an Executor and embracing patience even if it takes decades. His daily life includes hobbies like needlework and endurance reading, and he remains the sole person who understands Page Klaus's poetry. Enchu occasionally assists others, such as using whispered encouragement to rouse Muhyo from spirit-root comas. Physically, Enchu possesses fair skin, large violet eyes, and shoulder-length silver hair, often described as effeminately beautiful. He stands 171 cm tall. His preferences include tea, tofu, honey-dried fruits, Biko's bread, and Rio's homemade jam.
