Description
Tōsuke Iwasaki is a businessman, investor, and researcher committed to advancing electricity across Japan. His fascination with electricity ignited after witnessing its brilliance in New York, prompting him to study the subject at Keio University. He develops electric devices, driven by a vision to eradicate darkness through universal electrical adoption.

Classified as a tamayori, he possesses the ability to see spirits but harbors intense hatred for mononoke. This stems from childhood trauma where he believes a spirit caused his mother’s death, fueling his life’s mission to eliminate all spirits from existence.

Outwardly calm and reasonable, he displays strong aversion to irrational matters and idle chatter. Beneath this composure lies a passionate intensity, especially concerning his goals. He maintains a sickly disposition and adheres strictly to his word. His hobbies include electricity research, and he holds a noted fondness for chocolate.

Originally created as an exclusive character for the 2015 anime film *Gekijōban Meiji Tokyo Renka: Yumihari no Serenade*, he joined the main cast after the *Full Moon* game’s release. His integration extended his presence into subsequent media like the television series and adaptations, expanding his role beyond the film into broader narratives.

His interactions, particularly with protagonist Mei Ayazuki, involve complex dynamics. Dialogue snippets suggest themes of secrecy, possessiveness, and emotional conflict, such as references to holding secrets, imposing his will, or expressing conflicted sentiments about shared moments. These exchanges highlight multifaceted relationships within the story.

His surname, Iwasaki, combines "rock" (岩) and "cape/peninsula" (崎). His given name, Tōsuke, incorporates "peach" (桃) and "help/assist" (介), reflecting the etymological roots of his character identity.
