Description
Haruhime Sanjouno is a character from the anime series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? She is a member of the fox race, a type of beastfolk, which grants her prominent yellow fox ears and a matching bushy tail in addition to her human features. She is a petite, sixteen-year-old girl with long, beautiful blonde hair and green eyes. Her typical attire originally consisted of a scarlet kimono, but after joining the Hestia Familia, she often wears a maid uniform while working at their home.
Her past is marked by tragedy and isolation. Born into a noble family in the Far East, Haruhime spent much of her childhood in a lonely, confined existence within her family estate, feeling as though she lived in a cage. Her only solace came from reading fairy tales, which sparked a deep-seated desire to one day be saved by a heroic figure. A brief period of happiness occurred when she secretly befriended children from the Takemikazuchi Familia, including Yamato Mikoto, who would play with her at night. This peace was shattered when she was falsely accused of stealing a sacred offering, leading her father to disown her. A Pallum guest offered to take her away, but he abandoned her during a monster attack. She was subsequently captured by bandits and sold into slavery in Orario's Entertainment District, ultimately being purchased by the goddess Ishtar and forced to work as a trainee prostitute for the Ishtar Familia.
Despite her profession, Haruhime remained a virgin due to an intense psychological trauma that caused her to foam at the mouth and collapse at the mere sight of a naked man. In return for her salvation, she is fiercely loyal and dedicated to supporting him and the rest of the Hestia Familia, serving as a maid and joining them on expeditions into the Dungeon.
Her most critical and notable ability is a rare and powerful type of magic. Her primary spell is Uchide no Kozuchi, which is based on a legendary Japanese mallet. This enchantment magic is capable of raising the level of a single target, effectively granting them a temporary but significant boost in all their stats. The duration of this boost is limited, initially lasting around fifteen minutes and later extending to twenty minutes after she levels up, with a required cooldown period before it can be used again. However, this magic has drawbacks; those under its influence gain less than half the normal experience for their actions and initially struggle to control their sudden surge in power.
