Description
Created as the final hope by the twelve Star Princesses during the Notraiders' invasion of the Star Palace, Fuwa carries the core purpose of reviving her scattered creators and preventing universal darkness. Originally named Spegasus Pulalan Mofpit Prinsewink, she embraces the simpler name given by Hikaru Hoshina.
Her primary form presents a small, fluffy white creature with mouse-like features, deep blue eyes accented by light blue and gold stars, pink eyebrows, and cheeks adorned with yellow stars. A large yellow star decorates her tail, while her round ears display pink and blue hues surrounded by gold rings, complemented by tiny wings on her back. Before achieving her ultimate form, she cycled through twelve distinct forms inspired by zodiac constellations, each mirroring the respective sign—such as ram horns for Aries, a crab shell for Cancer, or a mermaid tail for Pisces.
Guided by the revived Pisces Princess, Fuwa consumed a star-shaped donut, triggering her evolution into a unicorn form. This state features a small horse-like body with hooves, a light blue triangular horn topped by a golden tiara bearing a fuchsia star, and a rainbow-colored mane, completed by pink wings and cheek stars. Initially unable to maintain this form permanently, she later regained it through accumulated Twinkle Imagination.
Fuwa exhibits intense curiosity and cheerfulness, often ending sentences with "~fuwa." Her youthful innocence makes her easily startled and prone to gluttony, particularly for star-shaped donuts. She instinctively trusts strangers, a vulnerability exploited by antagonists. Maturing after becoming a unicorn, she develops courage and self-sacrificial tendencies, notably confronting the Ophiuchus Princess's black hole.
Her relationships center on the Pretty Cure team, especially Hikaru, her primary protector and emotional anchor. She shares a close, sibling-like bond with Prunce, relying on him for safety. The Star Princesses act as her creators and mentors, though their plans involve significant personal risk.
Fuwa's abilities evolve throughout her journey. Initially, she opens warp holes to traverse space and releases sealed Star Princesses using constellation powers, also igniting the Pretty Cures' transformations. After her metamorphosis, she enables the "Star Twinkle Imagination" group attack by channeling the combined power of the twelve constellations through her horn. She gains reliable teleportation capabilities, though destinations often prove inaccurate, complemented by enhanced senses like recognizing disguised allies by scent.
Key events define her arc: fleeing the Star Palace with Prunce; bonding with Hikaru on Earth; facilitating each Star Princess's revival; evolving into a unicorn; being kidnapped during Ophiuchus's assault; and sacrificing herself to counter Ophiuchus's black hole. This sacrifice erased her memories and powers, leaving only her bond with Hikaru intact. Revived after the conflict, she remained in her original form under Prunce's care at the Star Palace. Fifteen years later, collective imagination across the universe restored her teleportation abilities, enabling a reunion with Hikaru.
Fuwa is vulnerable to silverline catnip, inducing hiccups and temporary self-replication. Technically classified as an alicorn due to possessing both wings and a horn, her name derives from the Japanese onomatopoeia "fuwafuwa," meaning "soft and fluffy."
