Movie
Description
Hikage Miyauchi is the middle sister in the Miyauchi family, positioned between older sister Kazuho and younger sister Renge. After attending the Asahigaoka Branch School, she moved to Tokyo for high school, where she lives while studying. Her appearance features blue eyes and shoulder-length dark violet hair, usually styled in a small side ponytail to convey a city image. This hairstyle changed from longer hair to a cut above the shoulders during a festival episode.

Her personality blends kindness and responsibility with a noticeable craving for attention. She frequently shares stories about her Tokyo life despite general disinterest, attempting to impress others with urban knowledge. These efforts often lead to comedic failure when interacting with Hotaru, whose authentic city background overshadows Hikage's. She holds practical knowledge of countryside nature, having taught Natsumi much about the rural environment.

Within her family, Hikage shares a positive relationship with Kazuho, who guided and corrected her in childhood. Interactions with Renge show mutual care beneath surface-level disappointment, particularly from Renge. Among friends, she shares a close bond with Natsumi, often unintentionally joining her antics. Her social circle includes Kaede Kagayama, Konomi Fujimiya, and Akane Shinoda, connections formed during her time at Asahigaoka.

During the Okinawa trip depicted in the movie, Hikage joins the group vacation after Suguru wins a free travel package. This four-day, three-night journey involves kayaking, scuba diving, and sightseeing across the Yaeyama Islands. She accompanies Natsumi, Renge, and Kaede to the Hirakubosaki Lighthouse on Ishigaki Island. Her participation underscores her ongoing ties to the Asahigaoka community despite living in Tokyo.

The character originated in manga creator Atto's prior work "Little Devil's Meringue" and was later integrated into Non Non Biyori due to visual similarities in eye design with Renge and the absence of a predetermined surname. This integration positions her as a graduate of Asahigaoka Branch School who occasionally returns to the village during breaks from Tokyo.
